Some couples choose one perfect spot on Lake Como. Kristina and Jared wanted an adventure. Their vision was a Lake Como villa hopping elopement, a grand day that moved between the lake’s most iconic locations, telling a bigger story. This wasn’t just a plan. It was an exercise in choreography, designed to feel both epic and effortless.
A Perfectly Choreographed Day on the Lake
The day began with quiet anticipation at Villa Lario Resort Mandello. After their first look, a classic Riva boat waited at the dock, its polished wood gleaming. This was their private transport for the day. First stop: the magnificent Villa Carlotta.
They exchanged vows in a secluded gazebo overlooking the water, with the dramatic Alps as their backdrop. We then moved through the famous gardens, a beautiful setting for their first portraits as husband and wife.
The Riva was waiting. Next, we crossed the lake for a second portrait session at the legendary Villa del Balbianello, its famous loggia and terraced gardens reserved just for them. A day with this much movement, timed perfectly with the light and boat schedules, is how we create heirloom photography with depth and variety.
As dusk fell, the Riva brought them back to Villa Lario for a private sweetheart dinner, overlooking the water where their adventure had unfolded.
Our Favorite Moment
A grand day needs moments of quiet. After the ceremony at Villa Carlotta, we had the Riva captain pull into a calm, private cove. We had arranged for prosecco and pizza to be waiting on board. For twenty minutes, there was no schedule and no camera.
It was just Kristina and Jared, sitting on the back of the boat, sharing a simple meal and watching the shoreline drift by. This is the heart of our partnership. We plan for the feeling, not just the photographs, ensuring you have the space to simply be present with each other.
