Some places are more than just a location. Monteverdi is one of them. For Carmen and Tristan, who wanted an experience that was secluded, wild, and peaceful, it was the perfect answer for their Monteverdi Elopement.
It’s not really a hotel. It’s a medieval hilltop village, carefully restored, where rooms, restaurants, and the spa are all housed in separate stone buildings. You can walk through its quiet streets and have no idea you are in a hotel. It feels like your own private piece of Tuscany.

Carmen and Tristan wanted to spend as much of the day together as possible, so they decided on a first look before the ceremony. It was a quiet, emotional moment. They walked to their ceremony spot together, hand in hand, and exchanged their vows. The feeling was completely relaxed. They were simply two people, in their own world, making a promise.

Afterward, we explored the village for their portrait session. The ancient stone buildings and narrow, winding streets of Monteverdi became their backdrop. This is the benefit of such a place. You don’t need to search for beautiful settings. They are right outside your door.

As the sun began to set, we drove into the Val d’Orcia. The landscape here is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it served as a grand, open-air studio for their final photos. They had an idea that we instantly loved. A cake cutting, right there in the countryside, with a bottle of prosecco.
It was a fun, spontaneous, and deeply personal moment. Just for them. Their day ended with a romantic dinner for two at one of Monteverdi’s restaurants, a perfect close to a day that was entirely their own.

Our Favorite Moment
The cake cutting in the middle of the Val d’Orcia was a highlight. It wasn’t about tradition. It was about creating a memory that was theirs alone. An elopement gives you the freedom to break the rules and do what feels right for you. Seeing them laughing, sharing cake with that incredible Tuscan sunset behind them, was proof of that. It’s these personal details that turn a beautiful day into a real story.
