An Intimate Garden Elopement at Villa di Piazzano: Erin & Chris

Jules Bower is the quintessential wedding photographer! He put us at immediate ease with his hawkish attention to detail and depth of knowledge and experience. He is a perfectionist (like me) so nothing less will do.

As a professional in the creative industries, I worried that I might have to direct or make suggestions. Not so with Jules! He has laser focus and a superb eye, finding the best light, the perfect locations and the right moments. We were able to completely relax and enjoy each other while he and his top-notch team took care of every last detail. The result? A collection of photos that literally made us gasp. Friends and family can’t stop gushing. I consider our wedding day photos important enough to last a lifetime, so I’m so ecstatic we put them in his talented hands. Incredibly fast turnaround time, seamless communication and customer service and professionalism.

Even though Jules is highly sought-after around the world, he made time to fly in from another country to capture our special day. And the results could not be more spectacular. Trust Jules with your photos, and let him lead… you’ll be so happy you did.

A wedding day isn’t a performance. It’s a promise. For Erin and Chris, who came all the way from California, that promise deserved a space of quiet intention. A place where their own words could be the main event. We found that for them in a secluded garden at Villa di Piazzano, a corner of Tuscany that felt like it was reserved just for them. Their story wasn’t about spectacle. It was about connection.

A Ceremony with Heart

The symbolic ceremony was the heart of their day. This is a core part of our philosophy. We believe your elopement should be built around a moment that is deeply and emotionally true to you. We worked with Erin and Chris to find a celebrant who listened, who asked questions, and who wove their personal history into a ceremony written only for them.

Standing in the garden, surrounded by the faint scent of roses and the warm Tuscan sun, they exchanged vows that were theirs and theirs alone. There were no distractions. Just two people making promises. It was powerful. It was real.

With their vows exchanged, the entire feeling of the day shifted. A quiet joy took over. Their walk through the ancient, cool stone alleys of Cortona wasn’t a photoshoot. It was their first walk as a married couple, a chance to breathe and let it all sink in.

We followed, capturing the small, candid moments. A shared glance. A laugh. The sound of their footsteps on the cobblestones. As the light began to soften, we drove towards Montepulciano, chasing the golden hour as it spilled over the cypress-lined avenues.

The day ended with a moment we had planned just for them. We know the owner of a medieval castle nearby, a place with a tower that offers one of the best views in the region. It’s not open to the public. As the sun dipped below the rolling hills, Erin and Chris stood alone on that tower, high above the world.

They shared a bottle of cold Prosecco and watched the sky turn from gold to pink. It was a completely private celebration for two. A perfect, peaceful end to a deeply personal day.
