Florence is compact. You can walk from your hotel through the historic centre, and the ceremony is in a private garden rather than on a busy square. Couples who want the city, and a quiet place to marry inside it, fit well here.
The best time to go
April, May, September and October are the months most couples choose. The weather is warm.
We plan July and August too, with the ceremony in the evening, when it’s cooler.
We can arrange an elopement at short notice if the venue is available, but the venues are popular and book up quickly. Most couples book 6 to 12 months ahead.

Legal or symbolic?
Most couples have a symbolic ceremony at their venue and complete the legal marriage at home. We can also arrange a legal ceremony in Italy. It needs more paperwork and more time, and the town hall fees are separate.

Getting around
The historic centre limits cars. Driving in without a permit brings a fine. We plan how you arrive, so you don’t have to arrange that yourself.
What to book first
Start with your venue. Every one of our Florence packages already includes the planning, the photography, the celebrant, hair and makeup and your flowers, and your room, so there’s no separate planner or photographer to find. Once you’ve chosen a venue, build your package on its page and send it to us. One of our planners will be in touch to ask about your date, and if you’re ready to go ahead, we’ll help you book the venue, which confirms your date.
